  9. IDLE SPEED CONTROL The ECM determines idle speed by controlling an idle speed actuator (dual winding rotary actuator) ZWD 5. The basic functions of the idle speed control are: • Control the initial air quantity (at air temperatures <0 C, the EDK is simultaneously opened) • Variable preset idle based on load and inputs • Monitor RPM feedback for each preset position • Lower RPM range intake air flow (even while driving) • Vacuum limitation • Smooth out the transition from acceleration to deceleration Under certain engine operating parameters, the EDK throttle control and the idle speed actuator (ZWD) are operated simultaneously.This includes All idling conditions and the transition from off idle to load. As the request for load increases, the idle valve will remain open and the EDK will supply any additional air volume required to meet the demand.

  19. man toata schema sta in consum sa zici ca M54 ala e depasit mi se pare un pic amuzant.oricum datele scrise de tine sunt cele ideale ia mergi cu start stop activ si vezi ce emisii ai.Cat despre M54 nu pot spune ca e chiar pe primul loc in sufletul meu ,e un motor bun dar pt tot M20 ramane mai reusit.

The old SIA I formula was e=a(1+t+r) where: e = estimated mileage a = actual mileage t = 1 (if engine operating temps is below normal) otherwise t=0 r = .5 (if engine is above 4500 RPM) otherwise r=0 So under this old calculaton, if you drove 5 miles with a cold engine @ 5000 RPM...the SIA I would calculate "e" as 12.5 miles although you only drove 5 miles: a = 5 (the actual miles driven) t = 1 (since the engine was cold and never reached normal operating temps) r = .5 (engine exceeded 4500 RPM) e = 5(1+1+.5)= 12.5 estimated mile varianta "noua" SIA III si SIA IV But starting with the 1996 model year...BMW started implementing SIA III where fuel is the ONLY value used to calculate load. asta e,bine nu stiu sigur daca la F30 nu au mai schimbat.scuze de off topic .
