Ford Mustang Shelby

 

Chiar daca au trecut zeci de ani de cand primul Mustang al lui Carroll Shelby a iesit pe usa fabricii, Shelby ramane un nume legendar in istoria automobilistica. Personal sunt un mare fan BMW insa Shelby GT500 cred ca este singura masina din lume pt care as da aproape orice BMW. Aparuta in ani 60 in varianta GT350:

Engines:

(GT-350) 289 V8 306 bhp.

(GT-350R) 289 V8 360 bhp.

(1967's GT-350) 289 V8 290 bhp.

In 1967 GT350-ul a suferit unele modificari optice, grile, stopuri insa tot cu un propulsor de 4700cc puterea lui scazut la 290bhp. Ceva mai tarziu noul Mustang GT500 urma sa fie pus in miscare de un motor de 7000cc ce dezvolta 355bhp. In prvinta performantelor GT500 ajungea de la 0 la 100km/h in doar 6,2secunde si pe 400m doar 14,6. Un an mai tarziu GT500 primeste motorul Cobra-Jet. Puterea scade la 335bhp insa performantele sunt mult imbunatatite, 0-100km/h in 5,4 secunde.

In 1969 apare seria Boss facuta pentru a califica v8-ul de 7000cc pentru NASCAR, pachetul Boss 429 aducea schimbari in admisie si evacuare dezvoltand 375bhp cu o performanta de 14.0secunde pe 400m.

1967 Mustang Shelby GT-500 Super Snake

 

Un singur model facut special de Carroll Shelby pt GoodYear si condus pe pista lor de teste intr-o reclama la cauciucuri, eveniment in care Shelby a reusit sa atinga viteza maxima a masinii, adica 170mph. Pretul ei in 67' era undeva la 7500$, in 2007 Super Snake-ul valoreaza peste 3 milioane de dolari.

Eu nu sunt deloc, dar deloc atras de "clasicele" astea... mai ales cand e vorba de americane.

 

Astea sunt ca ciorba de burta: ori iti place la nebunie ori o detesti.

Deci clasice au farmecul lor numai ca masini de colectie...alfel nu sunt fiabile, sunt mult prea scumpe, si au un grad mare de nesiguranta.

 

Eu cred ca atrage la ele faptul ca sunt exclusive si ca au fost prezentate in diverse filme Hollywood.

De fapt Shelby-ul din 2007 nu are chiar 500cp, nus daca ati vazut emisiunea de la top gear cand l-au pus pe dyno :blink: Oricum...daca as avea 3 mil de $ as lua Super Snake-ul si cu ochii inchisi :)
