The way I'd do it is to remove the bottom first, then the seatbacks.

What you do is this: pull up and out (akin to pulling a sofabed), then slightly bow the whole cushion assembly so that it'll clear the rear armrests without scratching the trim. Then yank. It's unbelievably easy. you can remove the cushion in less than 90 seconds by yourself.

The seatback is slightly more difficult; it entails removal of a very large torx bolt from the middle where the seatbacks meet (T50 iirc). Don't try to use a hex bit, use the proper torx bit.

I read somewhere that the whole rear seat assembly weighs something like 60lbs, so it's a pretty nice weight savings there.

It's a T30...stock seatbelt anchors are 50.

It's advisable to use a Torx socket and not a screwdriver type because the factory really tightens that sucker down. You'll need to put a good amount of downward force on the bolt to keep the Torx from slipping out and damaging the bolt head.

Varsity is right on about the bottom cushion. Take it out first. There are two indentions in the cushion that line up to tabs on the body. They are located on the front edge of the cushion, precisely in the center of the passenger seating areas. Just pull up on the front of the bottom cushion and they will pop out w/o any problem. Pull it forward a few inches and then up. You can bend it a small amount to make sure it clears the armrests.

To get the seatbacks out, fold them down and remove the bolt which is at the base of the backs and in the split. Then remove the black cover that the bolt was holding. You'll see that the bottom of the seat backs have cams that sit in a saddle. The cams are on a steel rail that runs along the bottom of the seat back and extends to the body on the outboard side. It is slightly bent, so to get it out easily, lift the cam out of the saddle until the bottom of the seat is at a ~30 degree angle, then pull the seatback tward the center of the car.
