Aerul controlat de regulator (ICV) ocoleste intradevar clapeta de acceleratie.

Cu clapeta inchisa turatia de ralanti nu mai este controlata ca la motoarele gen dacie prin modificarea pozitiei de repaus a clapetei. ECU controleaza cantitatea de aer cu ajutorul ICV. De aceea nu are niciun sens sa umbli la surubul de reglaj al clapetei de acceleratie. Turatia de ralanti nu se modifica de acolo.

 

ICV nu se inchide imediat ce se apasa clapeta de acceleratie.

Pe masura ce se deschide mai larg clapeta de acceleratie, ponderea aerului ce trece prin ICV scade. Atat datorita diferentei foarte intre cele 2 sectiuni, cat si datorita faptului ca ECU comanda inchiderea ICV peste o anumita turatie sau in sarcina.
